What Is a Skin Booster and Why Is It So Popular?

The world of medical aesthetics has clearly changed in recent years. While the focus used to be on changing shape and volume, more and more patients today are looking to improve the quality of the skin itself – hydration, radiance, elasticity, and even texture.

Exactly for these needs, the treatment known as Skin Booster was developed. Let’s understand what it really is, how it works, and who it is suitable for.

What is a Skin Booster?

A Skin Booster is an injectable treatment using a special form of hyaluronic acid (usually non-cross-linked or lightly cross-linked), designed to improve skin quality from within rather than add volume.

Unlike classic fillers that are meant to sculpt lips, cheeks, or fill deep wrinkles – the Skin Booster is injected in tiny droplets into the dermal layer. The goal is deep hydration, improved texture, and restoring the skin’s natural glow.

How does it work?

The hyaluronic acid attracts and holds water inside the skin, like a sponge. At the same time, the injection process itself stimulates the skin cells to produce new collagen and elastin – the proteins responsible for firmness and elasticity.

The result is skin that is more hydrated, more elastic, and has a fresher appearance, without changing the shape of the face.

Who is the treatment suitable for?

  • Dry, tired, or dull-looking skin – especially after prolonged sun exposure, smoking, or hormonal changes.
  • Fine lines – in areas that are difficult to treat with regular fillers, such as around the eyes, cheeks, neck, and décolleté.
  • Loss of elasticity and firmness – when the skin feels thinner or less elastic.
  • General improvement in skin texture – including mild superficial scars or uneven skin.

How many treatments are needed and when do results appear?

The common protocol includes a series of 2–3 treatments, spaced about 3–4 weeks apart. Improvement in hydration and texture can already be felt after the first treatment, but the full result builds gradually throughout the series.

Results usually last between 6 and 9 months, depending on the material used and the initial condition of the skin.

Why have the treatment with a dentist?

Dentists have a deep knowledge of facial anatomy – the muscles, nerves, and blood vessels. The precision required in our daily work translates directly into finer, safer, and more accurate injections.

If you feel that your skin has lost its glow and hydration – you are welcome to come in for a consultation. We will check together what is most suitable for your skin.
